Recipe book not sorting properly

Expected behavior

The recipes in the recipe book should be sorted alphabetically as it does in vanilla minecraft from snapshot 24w40a and onward (1.21.2, 1.21.3, 1.21.4)

Observed/Actual behavior

The recipe book is not sorted alphabetically like how it is now (1.21.2+) and is seemingly random

Steps/models to reproduce

1. Unlock recipes as one would do normally or via command /minecraft:recipe give @p *
2. Open container/inventory that has the recipe book available (player inventory while in survival, crafting table, furnace, etc.)
3. Click on the green book

I am testing this with a fresh server with no installed plugins to make sure nothing is feeding into the problem.
