Background

Today when you start a meeting the default naming convention is what first shows in the app and integration notifications. This naming convention (e.g. Retro 321) may not really convey what the purpose of the meeting is. It’s probably not apparent to most how to rename it, but you rename it from the active meeting UI. In the case of Slack, the message will update and this maybe depends on how soon you update it.

Open questions

  • How might we update the Mattermost integration where you can start a meeting without being in the app?
  • How might we update the app to name the meeting before starting?

Design checklist

  • Is the end-to-end flow complete?
  • Have you considered all possible states and scenarios? (See our UI State Checklist)
  • Have you confirmed that the interactive components in your work have all the necessary states designed? (focus, hover, disabled, etc)
  • Have you considered all the breakpoints required for a responsive interface? (S, M, L)
  • Have you had a design peer or maintainer review your work?
  • Have you had a developer review your work?
