Possible to run xcpEngine without docker or singularity?

i admit this is not quite an 'issue'. I'm running on a HPC server without singularity. My server admin is not quite willing to install singularity since there is not much demand from the other users to use it.

So i'm wondering if there is an alternative to running xcpEngine without docker or singularity? for instance fmriprep has got a "Manually Prepared Environment (Python 3.7+)" alternative to docker and singularity
