Using long doubles and 64 bits and threads (whew!) I get the
following test failures.

It seems that just -Duse64bits is enough to get all the same failures,
-Duselongdouble (via -Dusemorebits) and -Duselargefiles and
-Dusethreads do not break things (more).

Without any -Duse flags make test gives 100% success.

All tests pass for me with just -Duse64bits on Linux 2.0.36 and
gcc 2.7.2.3. Compare config info below.

There is one nasty looking thing that I haven't investigated, however​:
