$ ~/xorriso-exe-for-windows-master/xorriso -help
GNU xorriso 1.5.2 : RockRidge filesystem manipulator, libburnia project.
usage : /xorriso-exe-for-windows-master/xorriso [commands]
More is told by command -help
No matter what arguments are givven to Xorriso in cygwin they are ignored and it behaves as if no arguments were supplied. trying to run Xorriso from cmd with -help works. However obviously this is not very useful as Xorriso tries to use the paths cygwin expects and those files cannot be foud.

I simply replace R: with /cygdrive/r/ and all \ to /
in cygwin
Try to remove cygwin1.dll and place .exe into the bin folder of cygwin where it stores all other apps. I guess it's posix emulation conflict or cygwin version mismatch.
