Does not quit on database misconfiguration

If the database configuration (provided by environment variables) is incorrect, the application will not exit, and will instead sleep until SIGINT (ctrl-c) or SIGTERM is received (or the process is killed).

For example, with an otherwise-correctly-configured environment:

PGHOST=localhost PGPORT=NaN npm start
