It would be useful if the Polymer designer had a color palette included in the color-picker, as it currently only provides a default full color range.
This is referring to the color-picker that pops up when styling the bg color of UI areas.
The Material page for styling color has a specific set of colors that work nicely, so perhaps it could provide these by default with the option to also pick a custom color if needed: http://www.google.com/design/spec/style/color.html
