Just an idea:

e.g.

For(ex => ex.Property)
  .SetReturned(Returned.Default, (parent, attribute) => parent.OtherProperty == "someValue"));

This is similar to json.net's ShouldSerialize<PropertyName>() feature but won't require as much work for Owin.Scim adopters.
