Terms and Conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before using Printerverse Software (the "Software"). By accessing or using the Software, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please do not use the Software or submit an issue on this Github repository for clarifications from our legal team.

License:

  1. The Software is licensed, not sold, to you. Subject to compliance with these terms and conditions, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software for your personal or internal business purposes.
  2. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or reverse engineer the Software, or create derivative works based on it, without our prior written consent.

Use of the Software:

  1. You may use the Software to automate 3D printing processes, including but not limited to file preparation, slicing, and print job management.
  2. You are responsible for ensuring that the 3D printer(s) used in conjunction with the Software are compatible and operated safely and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  3. You agree not to use the Software for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose, including but not limited to the infringement of intellectual property rights.

User Data:

  1. In order to use the Software, you do not need to create a user account. Resource access is limited to your physical device and the devices that you authorize through the App. with.
  2. We do not collect or store any personal app data on our server. We may collect data from anonymous usage surveys. This collection is optional and is excluded if we receive a 'do-not-track' request from your browser.
  3. You are solely responsible for authorizing devices to share data with and for maintaining the confidentiality of your data and for all activities that occur on your device.
  4. You are solely responsible for any content you upload, transmit, or store using the Software, and you must ensure that such content does not violate any applicable laws or infringe upon the rights of others.

Intellectual Property:

  1. The Software and all associated intellectual property rights are owned by us and our licensors. You acknowledge and agree that no ownership rights are transferred to you by your use of the Software.
  2. You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights in the content you upload or create using the Software. However, by using the Software, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, distribute, and display such content for the purpose of providing and improving the Software.

Limitation of Liability:

  1. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use the Software, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses.
  2. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the Software or any content generated by the Software. You acknowledge that your use of the Software is at your own risk.
  3. We waive liability for any loss in the user's data due to improper use of the Software including but not limited to attempts in hacking, deleting local database, deleting backups, using malicious browser extensions, and system, browser or app reset.

Termination:

  1. We may, at our sole discretion, terminate or suspend your access to the Software at any time and without prior notice if we believe you have violated these terms and conditions.
  2. Upon termination, all licenses and rights granted to you under these terms and conditions will immediately cease, and you must cease all use of the Software.

Governing Law:

  1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
  2. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Delhi High Court.

Modifications:

  1. We reserve the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised terms and conditions on our public Github Repository.
  2. We will make our best efforts to inform existing users of any changes to the terms and conditions. A full update log is maintained by Github. With the spirit of Open Source Business, we welcome all recommendations to policy changes in the issues tab.
  3. Your continued use of the Software after the posting of any changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.

Conclusion

By using Printerverse, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms and conditions, please refrain from using the Software.

Footnote by the CEO

It's impossible for a T&C document to cover all possible use cases while being small enough to actually be understandable without sending it to a lawyer or getting bored. A rational & civilized human-being understands what misuse is. If you are reading this document to find loopholes, let me cover it all by saying 'Don't do what you're not supposed to do'. Printerverse was built by people much smarter than you. You will be caught and you will be met with the appropriate legal consequences. I'm sure my lawyers are better than yours.
