Could you please backport this mod to 1.17.1 as many people's computers are too weak to run 1.18 or newer versions?

Maybe, but that will not be actively supported at all - I've almost given up 1.18.2 support already, kinda.

I would really appreciate if you did it, and I don't need active support TBH, this mod already has all the features I need
