Remove support for /v1/access APIs

Brief description of problem/feature

I last tested that the v1 APIs were working in Nov of 2022 and no one has used one of those endpoints in the time since. So I think it's safe to remove the code for them, which will make it easier to support updates to the APIs that are actually used.
