Can you try $ maturin --version
maturin 0.13.0
$ maturin develop --release -- -C codegen-units=16 -C target-cpu=native

With 0.12.x we were passing extra flags to rustc:
maturin develop --rustc-extra-args="-C codegen-units=16 -C lto=thin -C target-cpu=native" --release
.I'm a bit confused on how to use the
-C
options in0.13
, now that--rustc-extra-args
