Description

My JupyterLab PR, jupyterlab/jupyterlab#13415, which fixes #167, surfaced some keyboard issues with the JupyterLab file browser.

I told Mike that I would follow up #167 with fixes for those keyboard issues.

Value / benefit

  1. Fixing Focus not always visible on JupyterLab initial page #167 entails fixing this issue.
  2. Fixing these issues is necessary to meet WCAG 2.1.1 Keyboard
