Thanks for reporting this! Are you on Mac OS? Could you share your OS Version? Seems to be a pathing issue

Hi,

I am playing around in the repo as well. I believe I might have a solution for you, try running npm install then try the npm create mcp-server command again.

build.ts checks tscongif.json in current dir (process.cwd()) before proceeding

im using window and cline cant even fix the error. i think its quite complex to use it will be better if more adoption happens since lot of people using cline extension for mcp servers

i would rather just use basic cline dev. just developers dont use anthropic for agent because of huge api cost. thats why lot of people use cline or continue etc open source alternative
