I feel like im the only one with this issue

image

Ever since Blender 3.2, I could never enable the addon except for 3.1 and 4.0

  • I've already made sure there isn't an existing SourceIO in 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.6 but still have the issue.
  • Removed the whole 3.6 folder under Appdata/Roaming
  • Tried both Master and 5.1.0

Strange. I use Blender 3.4 and 3.5 and I have no problems with it. Can you give me more info on how can i reproduce it?

Tbh I have no idea what info to give, doesn't feel like a normal issue, only SourceIO has this issue with me

Only other info I have is that I use a folder called Blender Builds to store all my portable blenders
And I rename my blender.exe files to something like BL 3.6.3

Omg that was it, the renamed blender.exe was the issue, the addon enables now

Not sure if its because your init file says running in blender
A renamed blender.exe means I'm not running in blender?

Since SourceIO can be used as library I use few function to determine it sourceio is loaded as addon or library.
If it's a library and blender related API is disabled

Ah I see, thanks
Its fine if this isn't fixed, its technically my fault, I probably shouldn't be renaming software
At least we are aware this can happen
