Very good you are mentioning this. Most people are not aware by using Rss Bridge feeds the embedded images, videos etc are 'monitored' 24/7 by Facebook and other Social Media providers.

Had this issue many times with my own hobby website at http://mySocialFeeds.com/ Took some time but created some tools to be able to host all the embedded content myself. This way it is not possible anymore for others to create any statistics.

Are we talking about the same issue ? Otherwise let me know.

Hello,

You would need to edit the bridges/FacebookBridge.php file. You need to modify the $item['content'] variable !

If I share a rss feed from a twitter or FB source what kind of information do end up at those platforms?
If the rss feed contains links to images – this links act like a back-link to FB & CO when the post is shown as a feed – right?
This can be easily turned into statistic – right?
If this is all true – should we care?
Is there a way not lo load the images of this kind of posts?

Please tell me how to edit the files. thanks

I guess only changing some variables is not solving the issue. Would be nice if it was all that simple. As long as content is hosted at locations as Facebook, Twitter or other source statistics are available for other people.

Checking these kind of things 24/7 and most of my users are aware of it now and using my own hosting of content. Of course they are able to use their own web based storages too.

Hi MrCoding
so you run https://mysocialfeeds.com - looks interessting... but I can´t make it work - do I have to be loged in?
https://mysocialfeeds.com fetches all the text and photos on a seperat server?
So the one who runs the sever can see what is going on and creat statistics ?
Don´t know if i would like that
