After seeing someone talking about it in #general I've noticed there's no official rule against battery save abuse, namely reaching certain points in softcore, making a battery save and then playing in hardcore.
The closest related rules that I can see:
3. Do not use save files that are not your own.
4. Do not modify the game's file(s) or memory by any means.
I'll think of a good way to word this, because I think it's important, but don't want to write it in a way that inadvertently alerts some players than they can abuse achievements in this way.
When playing in hardcore mode, the points you earn are worth double the achievement's points. So if the achievement set is worth 400 points and you complete it in hardcore mode, you'll get 800 points.
Remove that from the Global Leaderboard and Achievement Hunting Rules page please, it's outdated, Hardcore no longer doubles points.
