Scaling sport data push notifications

The mobile app market is growing and most of the apps need push notifications. Some of the apps doesn't need real time delivery and some does. Will explain how we build arhitecture for sending milions+ of sport data push notifications. One of our task was to deliver sport data notifications to mobile devices in shortest possible time. What were the problems we were facing and how we solved them. What technologies we used beside nodejs and how they help us to achieve our goals.
