Application of Natural Language Processing to detect “Turning Points” in Chess matches

This repository contains the code implementation for the undergraduate thesis on the machine learning area carried out by Douglas Ramos, Pedro Felipe and Rafael Higa under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Glauber de Bona, from University of São Paulo 2020.

The undergraduate thesis consists of analyzing comments related to chess moves, using natural language processing to detect the occurrence of one or more turning points during a chess game - that is, moves or sets of moves that have a significant impact on the direction of the game, which ultimately will define who will win or lose the game.
