Use theme colours in chip input

Would be good if I could use the theme colours in the chip input so the colours are consistent with the rest of the app. The grey colour of "un-focused" chips is OK but the arbitrary blue colour of focused chips would look better if it was the primary theme colour (or grey) instead.

Tried this but didn't seem to work - chip text wasn't appearing.
