Display watched status based on Kodi and PrimeVideo data #306
Comments
The addon doesn't (currently) keep track of these info, afair. The only way to sync that kind of stuff properly is by working on Kodi. There are addons that you can use to sync online or on a server in your home, but I personally never used them so I can't help you with that. |
I understand how to get multiple instances of Kodi to sync libraries and watched statuses. I have that running already and have had for several years. What I want to know is whether it is possible for this add-on to show what I have watched in Prime (through other non-Kodi devices) and what I haven't and whether it is possible for it to update Prime when an item has been watched via Kodi. Amazon does this automatically if I watch an episode through the website or on the Prime video app, but it doesn't seem that this feeds that back to Amazon. |
Ah sorry, I misunderstood the question. Not at the moment, no, it's not supported. We feed the information on watched status to Amazon, but not receive them. There's some code rewriting to do since they re-enabled API endpoints but none has been done so far. Possibly in the long run it will be implemented. |
Hey there. thanks a lot so far. |
Hi,
Firstly, thank you for making watching Prime video through Kodi so simple!
I have what seems to be a very simple question but one I can find no answer to...
Is there a way of syncing up what I watch on my Fire tablet with what I watch in Kodi? Or is that not something the Amazon API doesn't support?
Using Kodi 18.3 on OSMC on RaspberryPi with the latest version of Amazon VOD.
