As an extra safety measure, would be great to add a switching thermostat(s) (like this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001289999391.html) to a GPIO(s) and trigger program abortion when it gets switched off.

I understand that this may not be needed for the direct purpose PIDKiln was designed for but may be useful for other use cases. I.E. in my case I want to use it in a steam generator boiler and such extra safety measures may allow to stop the process in cases: overheating in different places, low and high water levels, opened door in steaming chamber. All that in one shoot if I connect all thermostat, water level and door switches in series.
Well, I guess I could add just abort button - that should be useful for some cases. And instead of the button - you can add thermistor/termostat that is NO.
