Cannot reproduce.

All files could be downloaded without any issue.
Problems with download could be caused by:

  • Network error
  • Site is blocked (Great Firewall of China, Corporate restrictions, ...)
  • Antivirus settings could block URL or block downloaded file
  • Proxy configuration

If you're facing the same problem in your browser, then I'm afraid it's some issue on your end. Nothing scoop can help in, sorry!

I get a 404 from browser with http://us2-dl.techpowerup.com/files/GPU-Z.2.43.0.exe too, but it works on Scoop

Where are you getting the longer URL from? (it's not present in the manifest)

Which powershell version are you using?

@DessertArbiter

Same issue, not from China.

Change VPN didn't help

The problem is only with gpu-z, everything else is downloaded successfully.

I also get the same 404 error, it also throws 404 in the browser. I am from Germany. It seems like https://www.techpowerup.com/download/techpowerup-gpu-z/ lists https://us2-dl.techpowerup.com/files/OCr44S6G-czHW8N1lSIAlQ/1635843416/GPU-Z.2.43.0.exe as the download URI (note that it's generated when you click the flags) so not sure where the URL in autoupdate comes from?

I looked at the error that @leni8ec got and saw the user agent being passed in the download command is that of Ash258's Shovel implementation of Scoop, it totally slipped my mind before but I am using that as well. @Brawl345 does the error you get also show the same user agent? I tried installing on a PC with the normal Scoop and it worked, so I'm thinking that must be the reason.

@DessertArbiter I'm also using Shovel, yes. So this may be the problem?

Nice find @DessertArbiter!

For all practical purposes, please consider any unofficial forks to be non-backward compatible with Scoop.
