mpv 2018-10-02 won't update

I have mpv version 2018-10-02 installed. I run scoop update * regularly but mpv is never updated. Running scoop info mpv includes the following:

Name: mpv
Description: Video player based on MPlayer/mplayer2 (builds by shinchiro)
Version: 2018-10-02 (Update to 0.33.0 available)

However, running scoop update mpv returns this:

mpv: 2018-10-02 (latest version)
Latest versions for all apps are installed! For more information try 'scoop status'

I'm sure that uninstalling and reinstalling mpv would install the latest version. However, this inability to update and inconsistency in messaging appears to be a bug in scoop.
