Has anyone come up with a solution for application performance monitoring (APM)?

I responded with this feedback in the form, but figured I'd also ask here. We have logging instrumented which populates backend issue tracking through our logging provider. However, the lack of support for APM and tracing is tough. The query timings logging is helpful for local dev, but it's not super easy to parse in logging providers, because it's a multi-line log statement.
