I have followed the steps to install the sample app named "mlbrains-react". I am running both ngrok and "rails s" in 2 screens.
As per step 5, I need to "Install and open this app on a shop".

However, when I search for the app it is not available on the store. That is probably obvious as this is created as a private app.

Can you suggest how this issue can be resolved.

@mlbrains, your actual app won't be listed in the Shopify App store yet. Step 5 was indicating that you need to visit your locally running app at https://dd19caa90543.ngrok.io (or whatever your ngrok subdomain is).

The bottom of this page has an example: https://shopify.dev/tutorials/build-rails-react-app-that-uses-app-bridge-authentication

Note: also make sure that you have actually created an app in your partner account: https://shopify.dev/tutorials/authenticate-a-public-app-with-oauth#generate-credentials-from-your-partner-dashboard
