I've written a small extension to support multiple lua source paths. The use case being that we're writing a gem internally that has its own Lua scripts and may have application specific scripts in addition. I would be happy to write a unit test for it and create a MR if that's something you're interested in including in the core gem. Let me know!

If it's implemented cleanly enough, I'm not opposed to this idea. It sounds like other users could conceivably want that too (though we don't have any need for it).
