Stuffed Pumpkin

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg ground pork and veal mixture
  • 2 small pumpkins (approximately 10 cm in diameter)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 chilies
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Nutmeg
  • Panko breadcrumbs

Instructions:

  1. Ensure that the ground meat is very cold (e.g., by placing it in the freezer for 30 minutes or in the refrigerator for a few hours), and place it in a large bowl.

  2. Remove the seeds from the chilies and finely chop them. Add the chopped chilies to the ground meat.

  3. Add two whole eggs to the meat mixture.

  4. Season with a pinch of pepper and salt.

  5. Add a bit of nutmeg for flavor.

  6. Also, incorporate a small handful of Panko breadcrumbs into the mixture.

  7. Mix everything thoroughly using your hands to ensure an even distribution of ingredients.

  8. Slice off the tops of the pumpkins and remove the seeds and any fibrous parts where the seeds are located.

  9. Stuff the pumpkins generously with the meat mixture.

  10. Preheat your oven to 160 degrees Celsius (320 degrees Fahrenheit).

  11. Place the stuffed pumpkins in the oven and bake for about 1 to 1.5 hours.

  12. Once the pumpkins are cooked and tender, remove them from the oven.

  13. Serve your delicious stuffed pumpkins as a hearty and flavorful dish. Enjoy!
