Amount of objects left to be synched

Is there any way to know how many external objects are left to be synched to local DB? I am trying to find a way to make a progress bar. Thanks!

I could also make use of such a feature. I would find it useful to know:

• How many objects still need to be sent to the server
• How many objects are yet to be downloaded from the server

Also given that I have experienced times where the device has a wifi connection but does not download changes that are on the server, it would be good to know if a connection to the server is established or not.

I would like to third this, more granular notifications to the appdelegate would be most useful.
