Founded in 2015, Rapyd is already global, with offices in London, Singapore, Silicon Valley, and Tel Aviv. Rapyd is venture backed and has raised multiple rounds, and currently has funding for a good runway and global expansion.

Rapyd is beginning to build its engineering team in Singapore for the first time, and looking for dynamic, high impact leaders to help build the team and engineering culture and scale our network and platform both in APAC and globally from the SIngapore hub.

Responsibilities:

• Integrating financial specialists into the Rapyd platform, including banks, issuers, real-time payment platforms, e-Wallets, point-of-sale platforms, and other network partners into our platform

• Developing our back end connectivity and services, primarily in Node.js

• Ensuring highly scalable and reliable services, including designing and implementing low latency, highly available services

• Development in a dynamic environment which provides the ability to learn, recommend, and implement new technologies

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 3 years’ experience of backend development
• Experience with:

Highly scalable Server-side solutions
JavaScript / Node.js
SQL and NoSQL
Typescript
Fully cloud architecture (AWS preferred)

• Ability to work and learn in a multi-technology environment
• Excellent English and work-experience in an English environment
• Strong integration experience in payments or a similarly complex, high resilience environment where patterns and performance matter - an Advantage
• Experience working in a global or super-regional development environment, and using Jira / Confluence / Slack to keep aligned
• Strong personal leadership skills and a desire to build culture
• Great analytical and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated experience in a high-pressure or startup environment
• Bachelor's Degree required in Computer Science or another relevant Engineering discipline
• Additional regional language desirable
• Local citizenship or permanent residency a plus
