Observed on Nvidia 640M (iMac 21", late 2013): Pauses on creation of multiple new sprites (opening of GUIs, battles). Length of pause increases with running time / amount of sprites created overall. At some point sprites seem to "bleed" into other sprites, i.e. fleet symbols on the map end up being replaced with explosion sprites.
No such issues on a 27" iMac, late 2013.
