Bug: wrong slicing for 3d printing multiple parts in vase mode (Pencil puzzle holder from wits at Thinigiverse) #2510

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:
use "Pencil puzzle holder" by "witska" from Thingiverse
use the 50% hight parts at scale
adjust the hight of the 25% and 100% to match the 50% hight parts
set vase mode and bottom layer to create a bottom layer in the hollow container
slice .... and wondering
try to rearrange, slice ... and wondering again
remove the lower left part und slice again.... same issue

somthing with the slicer must be wrong

also something with auto arrange ist not working as sometime the parts overlap each other

Expected behavior

  • no part collision when auto arrange
  • correct slicing without producing strange walls and connections between parts

Hello, thank you for your feedback. The first question is that there is indeed a problem with automatic sorting, and we have fed it back to the R&D team. The second question is that the vase structure is also called the spiral printing outer contour, which means that the required model is printed as a complete model. In simple terms, after selecting the vase structure, whether you have one model or multiple models, they are all one model for the vase structure, and there will be no disconnection, so there will be a situation where several models are connected. We provide you with another parameter that can achieve the vase structure effect for your reference.
