Hey folks,

I maintain gitleaks and noticed SolarisBank uses the gitleaks-action project. We recently released a new version of the gitleaks action that includes some useful features. Let us know if you have any questions or want a demo.

Hey Zach,

Thanks for reaching out. We're in the process of evaluating our options as to what tool we want to use for this purpose. Will definitely reach out to your team if we ended up going with gitleaks.

@mblcdr fantastic! Some things to consider:

  • ⏲️ Quick iteration, if there is an issue or feature you want us to consider just open a GitHub issue on the project and we'll respond quickly.
  • :octocat: Familiar GitHub action experience. You don't have to deal with a 3rd party dashboard. All information is displayed natively in GitHub.
  • 💵 Fair pricing. Unlike a lot of secret detection platforms out there our pricing is based on repos, not by users/developers.
  • 🦺 You don't have to trust us since the source is totally open. There is no worry that we would sell or accidentally leak your code since we don't actually collect any data other than an email when you first sign up.
  • 👼🏻 You would be helping sustainably fund an open source project and empower other open source maintainers to bootstrap a business like Gitleaks LLC.
  • ⏩ Gitleaks is the most trusted and popular open source secrets scanner that has a powerful detection engine and a highly extendible configuration system.

Again, if you would like a demo or just want to chat about Gitleaks or secret detection in general feel free to ping me zach @ gitleaks.io
