Windows 10, stremio app 4.4.168 (Web UI 4.4.172)
[same issue was noticed over a year ago too, so probably present since older versions]

A few issues happen on my secondary display which is set to 4k when OS scaling is applied (happens with anything over 100% scaling, I normally use 250%), it also happens even if I lower it to below native res, so the 2 contributing factors I can tell are:

  • has to be on my secondary display
  • has to have OS scaling

It used to be very laggy, but that seems to be solved by enabling hardware decoding.

But the dropdowns are sort of broken in a way that makes them hard to use, see screenshot:

The way to "solve" this that I've found is to right click, properties, compatibility mode, high dpi settings and put it to "system", that seems to make it so the scaling isn't handled by the app, which fixes the dropdowns and any lag issues, BUT...
image

It just stretches everything, so the UI is sort of blurry. I feel like maybe the content is blurry as well but I've had some difficulty properly testing that. I guess if it's stretching the UI it might stretch the content area too.

What i've tried:

  • All combinations on the compatibility tab, high dpi settings, full screen optimization, etc.
  • H/W decoding setting in app on/off
  • Setting secondary display resolution lower than native res (so from 4k to 1440p): same issue

What DID work:

  • Setting my secondary display to "main display" on windows settings. Yup, problem fixed. OS scaling+not being set as main display = bug.

I just can't have my secondary as main, unfortunately :/

Has anyone ever found a work around, or is there something the devs could do about it?

Regardless, massive thanks for the product, can't live without it <3

Hi, I'm having this exact same issue.
Windows 11, Stremio 4.4.168 (Web UI 4.4.172).

This is on my main monitor - 1440p at 125% scaling:

This happens when I change it to my second monitor - 4k at 175% scaling:

And if I switch my main monitor... this is what it looks like on the 4K one:

And this is on my 1440p monitor as secondary. The menu doesn't even appear:

Any updates on this? The new beta 5.0.0-beta.15 scales it by zooming it and doesn't look sharp at all.

EDit: I just tried this and looks much better:
