(Wayland) Hovering cursor over show icons causes display to momentarily freeze

Description
If you hover over an image with your cursor on the Stremio client it will cause everything on the target screen to freeze. This applies to all of my monitors, those with and without a variable refresh rate. It will freeze everything on the screen, I tested this by playing a video in split view and then hovering my mouse over the icons for the shows.
