I wanted to re-install OSCAM on my DS111, but could not find the OSCAM package from the SynoCommunity anymore.

Any specific reason?

Yes, legal reasons. OSCAM isn't packaged on Debian nor Ubuntu, SynoCommunity cannot risk hosting the SPK.
You can build the package from source and share it with others if you'd like.

@Diaoul

can you explain, why it is not legal to host a OPEN-Source software? I thought it is a free to use SW, isn't it?

cheers

Free to use but illegal in most countries. Maybe this package will come back if anyone is capable of producing a proper disclaimer displayed at installation time.

Oscam is free to use and no license is needed
in most countries is internal use of oscam not illegal, if you use it external without valid subscription then it is illegal

It is a good id to put a disclaimer display in the install then we know that 100% github/SynoCommunity not prosecutable

Who can make proper disclaimer displayed at installation time?
