Software Name

Deluge 1.3.11

Brief Description

I realize Deluge is already included in the abundance of packages. However v1.3.11 in particular, is a stable release that many private trackers have on their allow list.

If v1.3.11 isn't possible I'd also like to request:

@lefthandfrypan, any specific reason you are requesting these very old app versions? We are unlikely to re-publish an old version of a package or one whose source is not maintained. Perhaps you can share a bit more about your use case or limitation?

As mentioned in description, its because many BT private trackers have a limited "allowed" list of clients. Unsupported clients have risks of reporting bad data to the tracker and aren't allowed.

My current setup is essentially a NAS serving as a seedbox/storage to many preservation projects.

Thanks for the feedback. With the versions you are requesting:

  • Deluge 1.3.11, released 9+ years ago
  • Transmission 2.03, released 13+ years ago
  • rTorrent 0.9.2, released 10+ years ago

I think that it will be a difficult task to fulfil as there will likely be a number of dependencies which are outdated or no longer supported in this repo.

Given that qBittorrent 4.6.3 is a month old it may be a more likely candidate to fulfil. Can you confirm that this version will be acceptable? Also, can you confirm your NAS model and DSM version so that if we do build that package it will have a version compatible with your setup?

EDIT: Based on a note in #4235, I expect that a package for qBittorrent will only be available for DSM 7.

qBittorrent 4.6.3 is on the allowed list. The only unsupported qBittorrent version is v4.04

I'm running DS423+ & DS918+ on DSM 7
