It seems like those 4 samples should do the same things. A direct apples to apples comparison instead of oranges.
One thing I added to Unit 1 was a direct comparison of 4 different ways to code the knock knock joke. I added it to start talking about design, but it also illustrates different ways to code the same thing. One of which has advantages over the other 3.
