Blank value is not formatted

The last called method

public ThenStage field_in_row_$_column_$_equals_$(int row, char column, @NotSetIfNull Object value) throws Exception {

The formatter @NotSetIfNull on object "value" covers null values. I've just tried to extend the formatter to cover blank values, but it seems that blank values are not covered at all, even though the formatter triggers properly and returns a formatted value for a blank value.
