I am having same problem.

My username is just 'root' and I've put in my root password below. My hostname above is the server's IP:8006, i also tried just the ip.

Here same, i think it's because we can't select realm PVE/PAM, i try with hostname, with IPv4 Address and nothing works... No my WHMCS Webhost don't have any firewall blocking any connection.

I had to to to, the module and assign rights ,then to the addons, pve and add the vnc secret, before adding the server, and it only worked with root.

I am encountering an issue while integrating WHMCS with the Proxmox API using the Proxmox WHMCS module. Despite providing the required credentials, WHMCS is unable to establish a connection with the Proxmox server.

Error: PVE2 API: Hostname/Username/Realm/Password/Port required for PVE2_API object constructor.

Hello, yes! In my case I was able to solve it on another Web Hosting, in this case the company where I had my hosting was blocking outgoing traffic, for security reasons, what you can do is contact the company where you have your Webhost to allow your webhost to make connections to your Proxmox IP and Port (TCP).

Good luck from there I've had a few more problems so I'm making my Proxmox Server Management Panel private.

I hope I helped :)!

I had this same issue and I have fixed this by going in the advanced mode and by adding the ip, hostname (without port) and installing a ssl cert on the pve. Don't forget to use your root account.
