Cannot seem to connect to SMB in OPL over ethernet #16
Comments
This is a known issue I have been unable to fix this without affecting retail games |
On a side note then, would you know how to load the .bin vmc file as a memory card file in PCSX2? I know I can convert it in the ps2, but if there is an easier way, then I can overcome this issue that way. |
PCSX2 can't load OPL's bin files (see PCSX2/pcsx2#2959), although there is a pr attempting to add support PCSX2/pcsx2#2995 You can also use MyMC to extract and them import saves to and from PCSX2's and OPL files, if you perfer to work within windows. |
Oh there is a PR for it, thats awesome! Also, I just tried MyMC from http://www.csclub.uwaterloo.ca:11068/mymc/index.html I couldent get it to handle the bin files at all. Have I got the right program, or do they not support it? |
IIRC, in the file picker you could type . to view all files (and thus load .bin files) It's been a while since I've used MyMC, so make sure you have a backup of the vmc in case I'm wrong |
I tried that and it said that this file type is not supported. Maybe I need to rename the .bin to .ps2. I will give that a go shortly |
Hi I am new to your plugin, I am trying to connect to my SMB share that I use on my PS2.
I am trying this using PCSX2 with your plugin. I keep getting the error message: "304 Cannot list SMB shares" in OPL.
The reason for this is that my OPL SMB share has all my games and MC files, this way I don't need to copy them back and forth between my real PS2 and the emulator.
Any help would be great. Let me know if you need any sort of logs?
Right now this is all I can see
