I would like to open files on remote vnc server locally on vncviewer machine in a straightforward way.
I could config remote machine to redirect any open file command (like double clicking on nautilus) to the VNC client machine, which could save it in a temp folder and run the client machine system configure open file command.
I think this is not possible, right? It would be a desirable feature.
Thanks

To improve even more, if permissions configuration allows it, the save command could send the locally edited document to be replaced in the remote server.
But this second feature could be separated. Even to my use case it wouldn't be needed.
This would likely be rather complex to resolve. We haven't even got support for basic file transfer yet.
We can keep this issue open as a feature request, but it is unfortunately likely to get any attention from any of the core developers. Other contributors might take it on, though.
