Hacktoberfest 2021 Swag List

Hacktoberfest 2021 is over! Thank you all for your contributions!

This year was another major success for Hacktoberfest as a whole and we enjoyed ourselves here at the Swag List repo!

It's that time of year again! Time to get rewarded for contributing to the Open Source community! Did you know that there are multiple tech companies that participate in Hacktoberfest and give away sweet, sweet swag?

This repo seeks to document all of the companies giving away swag for Hacktoberfest 2021 and how you can get your hands on some free gifts for your time and help.

Right now, we're in the middle of Hacktoberfest 2021! Let's make this the best Hacktoberfest yet!

Hacktoberfest is about making meaningful contributions to open source projects. SPAM for the sake of a T-shirt will not be tolerated

    • Only those PRs are accepted which are marked with the 'Hacktoberfest' label and they have added difficulty level to each issue.
    • Although we they added 'Hacktoberfest' topic in their repo, they will consider only PRs whose issue is labeled with 'Hacktoberfest' above for their unique swag.

Bitrise

  • Swag: Bitrise Success magnet, Bitrise socks, Purr Request plushie.
  • Requirements:
    • Contribute to eligible repo during the month of October.
    • Once all of your PRs have received the hacktoberfest-accepted label, fill out their form with links to your PRs and shipping details, so they can send you an amazing swag pack!
  • Issues:
    • Bitrise engineers have selected a couple of open issues that are ideal for first-time contributors.
    • They fall into the following categories:
      • Bugfixes
      • Performance or UI improvements
      • Minor enhancements

    • The repository is not included in DigitalOcean Hacktoberfest, But Codedamn will send swag as promised.

CodeSee

  • Swag: Sweatshirt, T-shirt, stickers
  • Requirements: 4 or 7 quality pull requests in any project on OSS Port

  • Notes: Must submit 7 pull requests to get sweatshirt, t-shirt and stickers or 4 pull requests to get a t-shirt and a sticker.

Creative Tim

  • Swag: T-shirt
  • Requirements: 4 approved pull requests in any projects listed on Creative Tim's Blog Post
  • How to sign up: Check out the Blog Post for participation details.
  • Notes: The winners will be decided by drawing lots on 1st November 2021 and announced through the Twitter Post

  • Swag: At least 3 stickers and a webcam cover. T-shirt for the top contributors.
  • Requirements: 1 merged pull request in an eligible repo to get at least 3 stickers and a webcam cover (limited to 100 sets). The 10 best contributions get a t-shirt in addition to that.

Flyte

  • Swag: T-Shirts, Mugs, Vouchers, Limited Edition "The North Face®" Jackets!
  • Requirements:
    • 2 merged/accepted PRs: Flyte Mug
    • 3 merged/accepted PRs or a video: Flyte T-Shirt
    • Full-fledged integration or a blog: Voucher or "The North Face®" Flyte Jacket
    • If your contribution adds value to Flyte heavily, they will customize your swag and add you as a Flyte contributor!
  • How to sign up: Fill out this form after you are done with either of the challenges, on or before October 31st, 2021. Join Flyte's Slack #hacktoberfest2021 channel if you have any questions.

GitLab

  • Swag: GitLab Swag
  • Requirements:
    • Five contributors with the highest number of accepted merge requests to the GitLab open source project.
    • GitLab swag to all contributors whose first merge request to the GitLab open source project is created and merged during that time.
  • How to sign up: Unsure, possibly tracked per PR.
  • Issues: Read their blog for list of eligible open source project repository links and see their issues on respective repository.
  • Notes:
    • Merge requests to GitLab created in October 2021 and merged by the 15th of November will count towards this initiative.

Globo

  • Swag: T-shirt
  • Requirements:
    • Contribute to two pull requests in any in any eligible repo during the month of October.
    • Ensure that at least one pull request is merged.
  • How to sign up: Check out the Globo website for more details.
  • Notes: Only the first 100 people residing in Brazil will receive the t-shirt.

Grouparoo

  • Swag: T-shirts, Gift Cards, Hoodies, raffled off to 12 people.
  • Requirements:
    • Improve documentation
      • Follow the setup steps on their website.
      • Try out setting up and using Grouparoo.
      • Suggest documentation changes via pull request on their www repo.
    • Create a destination
      • Destinations connect Grouparoo data (from databases and warehouses) to various third-party systems (Salesforce, Mailchimp, Zendesk, etc).
      • Read the documentation on how to create a destination and based on the APIs of your service, decide how to build it.
      • Add the destination via a pull request on their mono repo.
