Steps to reproduce

1. checkout either the 3.44.2 branch or the 3.44.3 branch
2. npm install
3. npm run storybook
4. open http://localhost:6006/?path=/story/app-nav-bar--app-nav-bar
5. toggle "Parent" menu item
