When writing in the editor and you input the following:

**with some text following

screen shot 2014-01-11 at 11 01 52 pm

(space or no space between the asterisks)

The text is bolded in the editor, when nothing should happen.

Looks like this also affects italics, and the styles appear to leak into the rest of the editor text. Will dig into this now.

This is marked as milestone 0.7 as it's not something we're looking to fix until we rebuild the editor. There are literally 100s of tiny niggles like this due to the fact that CodeMirror and ShowDown interpret markdown differently.

@Damiya No worries... it might be possible to fix one or two of them but it's totally an uphill battle.

I believe this will never be fixed in the current editor - suggest close
