In markdown for dash uses a combination of characters from two consecutive short dashes. But Ghost this combination does not work.

Hi @juev, This is in part due to the fact we don't have advanced typography support like curly quotes. We attempted to add it and it caused a lot of issues. Therefore this is one of the many features that would be an absolute nightmare to crowbar into the existing showdown markdown conversion system.

I'm going to close this against #1294 with all the other similar features that are something we're unlikely to add until we change our markdown implementation.
