Installation on Raspberry Pi Failure

I've tried installing several times but I always get the same error. My log shows that it fails to get the tar, and then fails the fallback installation.

If I download the tar manually, where would I put it/untar it for the installation package to detect it?

The link for the tar is 403... https://mapbox-node-binary.s3.amazonaws.com/sqlite3/v3.1.6/node-v48-linux-arm.tar.gz

I read somewhere that the 403 simply means that the file doesn't exist, so that may not be a problem

I tried installing with npm i -g sqlite3 --unsafe-perm as a different thread suggested, same results

I didn't have build tools installed. 😞

sudo apt-get install build-essential
