If we do this do you have any ideas how we could allow users to override that behavior for occasional situations? Like for example if I wanted to read comments and continue listening to video from submission. A dedicated button, some sort of popup?

Maybe use the header to place controls there? Something like this, need to work a bit on the design though.

Just realized that we need that header for gestures, can't really occupy it with progress bar. How about a single button?
