External HDMI monitor does not activate automatically on reboot (M1 Max 16" Macbook Pro) #146

On reboot, an external monitor connected by HDMI does not turn on or display images until the cable is unplugged and reconnected.

Computer: 2021 Macbook Pro 16" M1 Max
Monitor: 57" Samsung (using one half of it in 4k mode)
