I've noticed previous issues that match but they appear to be old and resolved.

After seeing previous issues relating to this, I'm guessing it either could be an upstream issue with the registry for openvsx, or maybe a configuration error somewhere.
Swapping the registry in /usr/share/codium/resources/app/package.json stopped the problem. I had no problem on another system, so not sure what was the cause. I can't find the original article I read that showed how to swap the registry. There's this video that pretty much covers it.

Thanks this solved my problem too but as we know we're changing openvsx to microsoft marketplace. I prefer openvsx normally. I wish this problem could be solved with openvsx.
